In nodeProtect, an agent is a service that is installed on a system that communicates with the nodeProtect server at a given time interval, sends reports and receives firewall configurations. The agent uses a certificate for secure communication with the nodeProtect server.

The nodeProtect agent requires the following information in order to perform an installation:
Download the latest version of the nodeProtect agent from: nodeprotect.com and extract the zip file into a temporary file location. You can also find the agent in the nodeProtect portal under Settings:
Launch the nodeProtect agent setup as an administrator.
Once the license agreement dialogue pops up, read and accept the license terms.
On the feature screen, verify that the default features have been selected for installation.
On the configuration screen, enter the required information. The TenantId and ApiKey values are available in the nodeProtect web administration menu, under Settings.
On the next screen, confirm that you are ready to start the installation process.
On the installation summary screen, verify that the installation was successfull.
The nodeProtect agent installer supports a silent installation. This enables automation of the nodeProtect agent installation. The example below demonstrates how to perform a silent installation:

After the installation is successfully completed the node appears in the nodeProtect web portal. In the nodeProtect portal, click on Nodes/Nodes and verify that the node is available.
